A great location and an existing concrete structure that should be transformed into a unique exclusive villa in Mykonos. Greek architecture, traditional Mykonian techniques and a touch of elegance were the guidelines.
The open-space plan has been the ideal canvas where different functions indicate the separation of areas that are visually unified at the same time. The nautilus-shaped main staircase placed on the center becomes the trademark of the interior design. Natural light entering through the roof emphasizes the shape and and creates a light bridge between the tree levels of the Villa.
The 45ο placed deck unifies the outside spaces and gives a flow to the visitor’s movement. The carefully-selected furniture and lining materials visualize the original design goal: relaxed elegance.
Lighting study is further helping to achieve that target, avoiding glare at any point and also giving the right amount and quality of light needed in every use. Daylight scenarios are giving the famous Mykonian sun the opportunity to create the desired contrast of senses. On the other hand, the totally controlled night light enables the resident not to miss the breathtaking sunset and night view of the old harbour of Mykonos.
With particular care towards the outdoor living experience as well, all open-air spaces have been designed and positioned in such a way as to offer unobstructed, breathtaking views and protection from the windy weather.
